Victim In Danbury Mall Shooting May Have Been Involved In Melee, Police Say
A 15-year-old who was shot inside a Fairfield County mall was likely part of the altercation that took place between at least eight people with another group, according to authorities.
The teen, who remains unidentified, has been transferred to Connecticut Children's Hospital and is in stable condition, said Danbury Police Chief Patrick Ridenhour. Police had originally reported her age as 16.
The shooting took place around 7 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 11, near the entrance to Macy's at Danbury Fair Mall, Ridenhour said.

Two Long Island Men Nabbed Attempting To Steal $4K In Goods From Macy's, Police Say
Two Long Island men were busted allegedly attempting to steal more than $4,000 in merchandise from an area Macy's.
Johnathan Calandra, age 23, of Port Jefferson Station, and William G. Erdogan, age 30, of Franklin Square, were arrested on Thursday, May 27, for the robbery which took at the Macy's in East Garden City.
According to detectives, the two, while shopping at Macy's at 630 Old Country Road, attempted to steal $4,663.00 worth of merchandise, said the Nassau County Police.

Long Island Woman Nabbed For Stealing Two Rolex Watches Valued At $22K, Police Say
A 33-year-old Long Island woman has been arrested for alleged grand larceny of two Rolex watches from a local Macy's last year.
Candice McCullough, of Westbury, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 4, for the theft which took place around 6:25 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 16, in East Garden City.
According to detectives, McCullough entered the Macys located at 630 Old Country Road walked behind a display counter, removed a set of display cabinet keys belonging to the store, and then walked away.

A Long Island man who was allegedly high on drugs, was arrested after stealing a vehicle, snatching two purses from women, and then taking police on a pursuit before crashing.
The incident took place on Friday, Nov. 27, after Southampton Town were informed by Suffolk County Police that patrol units were in search of a vehicle that was involved in a vehicle pursuit after a man had stolen a vehicle in the county police district and led officers to the Southampton Town area, said Lt.
