16-Year-Old Confesses To Ambush Killing Of 'Intelligent, Proud Godfather' On Long Island A teenager has confessed to fatally shooting a 21-year-old man in an ambush killing on Long Island. Ramon Lyons, age 16, of Huntington Station, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the death of Luis Cameron Rimmer-Hernandez. According to prosecutors, Lyons ran up to the victim as he stood talking to friends in Huntington Station, on Lowndes Avenue, shortly before 11 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2021. ID Released For Man Shot, Killed Outside Long Island Home The identity has been released of a man who was shot and killed outside a Long Island residence overnight. It happened around 10:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 9 in Huntington Station. Officers responded to a residence on Lowndes Avenue after a 911 caller reported hearing gunshots in the street, Suffolk County Police said.  When police arrived, they found the man lying in the street with a gunshot wound.
