Two brothers were rescued by marine police on Long Island Sound after being knocked overboard while fishing.
The incident took place off Shoreham Beach around 7:30 p.m., Monday, Sept. 19.
According to Suffolk County Police, Marine Bureau Officers Cory Kim and Robert Reed, aboard Marine Delta, responded to a report of two fishermen on a 6-foot inflatable raft that had not returned at approximately 7:30 p.m.

18-Year-Old Killed In Long Island Sound Jet Ski Accident
A 2021 high school graduate from Fairfield County is being remembered by friends and family after he was killed when two jet skis collided in the Long Island Sound.
Matthew (Matt) Horvath, age 18, of Shelton, died on Tuesday, July 27, in Milford, said Will Healy, spokesman for the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
Healy said Horvath was killed in a boating accident in which jet skis collided in the Sound.
He was rushed to Bridgeport Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Healy said.

Woman In Distress Swimming Rescued From Long Island Sound
Emergency responders rescued a woman who was in distress while swimming in the Long Island Sound.
The incident happened early Sunday morning, July 18 in Suffolk County, off Shoreham Beach in Shoreham.
A woman called 911 to report that her friend, Johanna Scheiber, 21, of Sayville, was swimming in the sound and the caller, who was on Shoreham Beach, lost sight of Scheiber at approximately 6:50 a.m.

An investigation is underway surrounding the deaths of two men reported missing who were later found dead in the Long Island Sound.
Police said the bodies were found Wednesday, June 2 at around 6 a.m. in Suffolk County, off Eatons Neck.
Roberto Guevarra, age 36, and Roberto Murillo, age 60, both of Huntington Station, were reported missing at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Tuesday, June 1 after they failed to return from a fishing trip in the Long Island Sound, Suffolk County Police said.
