Iconic Long Island Ice Cream Shop Closing After 50 Sweet Years After 50 years of serving sweet treats to the East Islip community, Pam’s Ice Cream is closing its doors. The iconic ice cream shop at 195 Carleton Avenue announced its bittersweet farewell in an emotional Instagram post shared by owner Pam. "After over 50 years serving ice cream, I have made the very difficult decision to retire," the post reads. "We have loved being a part of the community and watching all your families grow.
