A Long Island man is facing decades in prison after admitting to fatally shooting two people inside a home.
Brian Cordovano, age 50, of Ronkonkoma and formerly of Bay Shore, was arrested following a traffic stop in Smithtown, on Columbus Avenue, just before noontime on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023.
On Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at around 10:45 p.m. in Selden at 55 Hollywood Ave., Ian Saalfield, age 45, of Lake Grove, who had been reported missing by his wife nearly two weeks earlier, and the homeowner, Robert Julian, age 58, were found shot to death, Suffolk County Police said.

A suspect has been apprehended in connection to a spree of burglaries of Long Island businesses.
Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Squad detectives, Joseph Foresto, age 67, was charged with six commercial burglaries and an attempted burglary between Saturday, May 18, and Saturday, June 22.
During the burglaries, Foresto, a Lake Grove resident, forced entry by throwing objects through a glass door or window to enter the closed businesses.

A Long Island man has confessed to brutally beating his wife, at one point choking her unconscious, as the couple’s daughter watched in horror and begged him to stop.
The 45-year-old Lake Grove resident, who prosecutors are not naming in order to protect the victim’s identity, pleaded guilty to attempted murder and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, Aug. 2.

Laura Bee, age 59, of Lake Grove, was arrested Tuesday, July 25, for allegedly stealing from clients of Ever Love Jewelers, located in Huntington on New York Avenue.
According to Suffolk County Police, between September 2019 and December 2022 Bee stole over $125,000 in jewelry from seven clients.

Jaquan Casserly, age 34, of Holbrook, was arraigned in Suffolk County Court Friday, Jan. 27, months after allegedly selling fentanyl to a Lake Grove woman who later died, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
