Man Charged With Arson After Fireworks Burn Pair Of Long Island Homes, Shed A 33-year-old Long Island man was charged with arson after giving a firework to an 11-year-old to ignite, which then burned a shed and two homes. The incident occurred in Levittown around 8:50 a.m., Thursday, July 4, on Red Maple Drive North. According to Nassau County Police detectives, officers responded to 128 Red Maple Drive North for reports of a fire. 3 Employees Busted Selling Alcohol To Minors At Long Island Stores, Police Say Three employees at Long Island businesses are facing charges for allegedly selling alcohol to minors. Suffolk County Police conducted an investigation into six businesses in Nesconset and Smithtown after getting complaints from citizens, the department said. Officers visited the business on Thursday, Nov. 3, between 8 and 10 p.m. Of the six businesses audited, three stores were busted selling alcohol to minors, police said.  The employees were arrested on a charge of unlawfully dealing with a child in the first degree.
