Teen Crashes Stolen SUV Into Mastic Beach Home: Police A teenage boy is accused of stealing an SUV and crashing it into a home in Mastic Beach, Suffolk County Police announced on Sunday, Dec. 29. The incident began around 4:24 p.m. when a 2010 Mazda CX-9 parked on Lynbrook Drive was stolen and crashed into a residence at 103 Lynbrook Drive, police said. Two males inside the vehicle fled on foot after the crash, authorities added. Student Caught With Loaded Gun At High School In Suffolk County A teenager was apprehended after authorities say he brought a gun to his school on Long Island. The 14-year-old at William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach was being interviewed by a school administrator on an unrelated matter when the student was found to have a loaded gun.  School officials contacted police early Friday afternoon, Oct. 18. Long Island Teen Nabbed For 'Tagging' More Than 35 Items With Graffiti, Police Say A 16-year-old Long Island teenager has been arrested and charged with "tagging" more than 35 items with graffiti, authorities announced. The Suffolk County teen from Flanders was arrested on Monday, July 12, after he was spotted by an officer spray painting an electric pane and a light pole near Oak Avenue in Flanders, said Southampton Police Lt. Susan Ralph. When the officer approached the teen he attempted to flee and was quickly stopped by the officer.  The juvenile resisted arrest, causing the officer to sustain a minor injury.
