16-Year-Old Confesses To Ambush Killing Of 'Intelligent, Proud Godfather' On Long Island
A teenager has confessed to fatally shooting a 21-year-old man in an ambush killing on Long Island.
Ramon Lyons, age 16, of Huntington Station, pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, Oct. 18, in the death of Luis Cameron Rimmer-Hernandez.
According to prosecutors, Lyons ran up to the victim as he stood talking to friends in Huntington Station, on Lowndes Avenue, shortly before 11 p.m. on Aug. 9, 2021.
Lyons, who was 14 at the time, admitted to firing nearly seven shots from a 9 mm handgun, striking the man multiple times in the chest and arm.

The burglaries took in Syosset on Tuesday, June 7 at least 13 locations.

17-Year-Old Charged After East Rockaway Road Rage Incident, Police Say
A teenager is facing charges after a road-rage incident on Long Island.
It happened around 6:45 p.m. Saturday, May 28 in East Rockaway near Forest Avenue and Centre Avenue.
During the incident, the teen, a 17-year-old boy, pointed a black-colored imitation firearm at the three victims, ages 53, 13 and 14, putting them in fear of their safety, Nassau County Police said.
Subsequent to the investigation, officers located the boy on 1st Avenue and placed him into custody without incident, police said.
Recovered at the scene was a black-colored BB gun, police said.

LI Man, Juvenile Nabbed After Shots Were Fired In Neighborhood, Police Say
A teen and a juvenile were arrested following a shooting incident on Long Island.
Jamal Cole, age 19, of Uniondale, was arrested around 6:50 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, in Uniondale after police responded to a report of shots fired, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers responded to Ash Court for a call of multiple shots being fired. Upon arrival, officers began an investigation and safely recovered a Ruger handgun and a shell casing.
The investigation led to the arrests of Cole, and a 17-year-old from Roosevelt, police said.

Man, Teen Charged For Fatal Shooting Of Long Island Man
A 31-year-old man and a juvenile have been arrested for the death of a Long Island man earlier this month.
Diego Avila-Huicab, age 31, of Robbins, North Carolina, and a 16-year-old boy, of Sanford, North Carolina were arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 27, for the Tuesday, Jan. 21 murder of Ricardo Cardona, 40, of Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Cardona was found dead after Hempstead police responded to a Shot Spotter call that occurred in the vicinity of Vermont Avenue and Dakota Place.

Man, Juvenile Nabbed Stealing Items From Long Island Auto Sales Trailer, Police Say
A man and a juvenile were arrested for allegedly stealing items from a Long Island auto sales store.
Rolando Jean, 18, of Brooklyn, and the juvenile, age 17, were arrested around 2:08 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 7, by Nassau County Police in Elmont, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an employee at the Showtime Auto Sales store, located at 244 Linden Blvd., observed three black males walking away from a store trailer carrying store property.

Two Charged After Teen Is Stabbed At Lirr Station
Two juveniles have been apprehended after a teen was slashed at an LIRR train station.
The incident happened on Friday, Jan. 17 at 3:40 p.m. in Manhasset, Nassau County Police said.
According to detectives, while attempting to purchase drugs from two juvenile subjects, ages 16 and 17, the victim, also 17, was assaulted by the 16-year-old with a knife, causing him to suffer severe lacerations to both of his hands, police said.
