Long Island School District Names New Superintendent
A veteran educator has been chosen to take over as the new Schools Superintendent of a Long Island school district. Following an extensive search, the Islip School Board announced that it has appointed Dr. Dennis O’Hara as its new superintendent of schools, taking over for incumbent Ellen Semel, who announced she will be stepping away following a lengthy tenure in the district. Long Island HS Football Coach Reinstated After Investigation
A high school head varsity football coach has been reinstated after being temporarily removed from his position after an alleged incident during a scrimmage involving a player on Long Island. Aden Smith is back on the sidelines for Shoreham-Wading River High School after being suspended earlier this month, the school announced on Wednesday, Sept. 18.
