Ghost Gun Found During New Cassel Traffic Stop, 18-Year-Old Charged, Police Say
An 18-year-old is facing charges after police said he was found in possession of a ghost gun during a traffic stop on Long Island.
Kyle Gritser, of Hicksville, was arrested in New Cassel at about 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, according to the Nassau County Police Department.
The ghost gun was discovered after officers pulled over a 2010 Infiniti G37 on Prospect Avenue at Urban Avenue due to traffic violations, police said.
When officers interviewed the driver, identified as Gritser, they saw a large-capacity magazine on the floor of the car, NCPD said.

A child was seriously injured in an overnight crash at a busy Long Island intersection.
It happened on Wednesday, March 24 at 11:45 p.m. in North Amityville.
David Hernandez-Martinez, age 29, was driving southbound on Broadway with his sister and her daughter in a 2005 Toyota Prius, Suffolk County Police said.

Recall Issued For 1.3 Million Nissan Vehicles
Faulty rearview cameras have led to a recall of more than 1.2 million Nissan and Infiniti vehicles.
Nissan announced a massive recall earlier this month due to cameras that can be turned off, but then do not automatically reboot when the car is restarted. Due to that fault, the vehicles are not compliant with federal motor vehicle safety standards.
