Two workers at a Long Island deli are facing charges after a New York State Liquor Authority Inspection.
It was conducted around 9:45 p.m. Friday, June 3 in at Yary’s Deli, located on New York Avenue in Huntington Station, in response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk County Police said.
Randall Placido-Gonzales, age 20, of Huntington Station, the manager of the deli, was charged with possession of a gambling device, Class A misdemeanor, police said.

Man Struck, Killed By Car On Long Island
A man who was in the roadway on Long Island was struck and killed by a car.
The crash took place in Huntington Station around 9:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14 on New York Avenue.
Edgar Maviel Chavez Membreno, age 22, of Huntington Station was driving a 2010 Honda Civic southbound on New York Avenue, just south of Church Street when his vehicle struck the man in the roadway, said the Suffolk County Police.
The man, who has not yet been identified by police, was transported to Huntington Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.

A 23-year-old Long Island man was found guilty of stabbing his former college lacrosse teammate, a Northern Westchester County man, during a dispute about a loud party.
Matthew Stockfeder was convicted on Thursday, March 24, of first-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon in the 2019 stabbing of his then-roommate Justin Corpolongo, according to Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz.

Six Accused Of Selling Heroin, THC At Five Long Island Stores
Six Long Island men were nabbed during a raid for allegedly selling drugs at smoke shops throughout the region.
The arrests took place around 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 10, during the execution of a search warrants at five Evolve Smoke Shops in Nassau County.
During the search, large quantities of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) were recovered, along with MDMA, heroin and cash, said the Nassau County Police.
