Vehicle Crashes Into Pole In Centereach Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash that happened on Long Island in the early morning hours. A vehicle crashed into a pole in Centereach on Holbrook Road at about 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 19, the Suffolk County Police Department reported. Authorities did not have information about whether anyone was injured in the crash but said there were no serious injuries reported. SCPD did not share the make and model of the vehicle involved in the crash.

10 Dogs, 20 Cats Removed From Condemned Centereach Home, SPCA Says A Centereach couple has been charged with animal cruelty after 10 dogs and 20 cats were removed from their condemned home. The horrendous conditions were found on Sunday, July 7,  when Suffolk County SPCA detectives responded to a call from the Centereach Fire Department where multiple dogs and cats were found living in deplorable conditions. It appears that the fumes from the house set off their fire alarm, the Suffolk County SPCA said.
