Three Nabbed For Speeding, Refusing To Stop For Officers On Long Island, Police Say
Three men who were allegedly driving vehicles at a high rate of speed on Long Island and refused to stop for police before crashing have been arrested.
The men were spotted traveling westbound on the Montauk Highway at a high rate of speed around 9:50 p.m., Sunday, June 6, by a Southampton Town Police police officer, said Lt. Susan Ralph.
The officer activated lights and sirens in an attempt to stop the three vehicles, but all three refused to stop, she said.

A Long Island man has been sentenced to five to 12 years in prison for a high-speed chase and ramming that ended in a fatal crash.
Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas said that Dana King, Jr., age 24, of Valley Stream, was sentenced on Wednesday, Jan. 27, to prison time and three years of post-release supervision.
The incident took place on Tuesday, March 18, 2019, at 11:30 p.m., the victim, 22-year-old Jim Hayes, Jr., picked up Isabel Rodriguez from her Valley Stream home in a lime green 2007 BMW, the DA's Office said.

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly taking police on a high-speed chase and then attempted to assault them during his arrest.
Bradley Bull, age 37, of Uniondale, was arrested around 12:40 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, following the incident in Uniondale, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers spotted a 2007 Chevrolet SUV driving westbound on Jerusalem Avenue in the eastbound lanes. As officers initiated a traffic stop, the SUV fled at a high rate of speed.
