Seen Her? Alert Issued For 14-Year-Old Girl Reported Missing On Long Island Authorities are asking for help in locating a missing teenager from Long Island. Ariya Shingler, age 14, was last seen leaving Hempstead High School at around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30, according to Nassau County Police. She was reported missing Wednesday afternoon. Shingler is 5-foot-3 and 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was wearing tan pants, a black sweatshirt, a pink bonnet, and was carrying a black handbag. Crowd On LI Beach Dispersed After Some Throw Bottles At Cops, Set Off Fireworks, Police Say A gathering of more than 1,500 mostly high school students on Long Island went from peaceful to violent when some individuals allegedly threw bottles at police cars and set-off fireworks aimed at officers. The incident took place in Nassau County around 8 p.m., on Saturday, June 20, when a Long Beach Police officer conducting a beach patrol at Ocean Beach Park came upon the large crowd, the department said.
