ID Released Of Woman Fatally Struck Crossing Long Island Roadwau The identity has been released of a woman who was struck and killed in a crash on Long Island. The incident happened at about 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, on Hempstead Turnpike near the intersection of Uniondale Avenue in Uniondale.  A 25-year-old man driving a 1995 Lexus westbound on the turnpike hit the woman as she was crossing the road, according to Nassau County Police said. Two men, ages 33 and 57, were at Ben’s Crab Shack on Hempstead Turnpike in Uniondale at 10:40 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13 when they were approached by Columbia, Mississippi resident Bradley Taylor at the restaurant.
