Two self-identified MS-13 gang members have admitted to attempted murder charges for their roles in a violent assault and stabbing of two men on Long Island. Brandon Meza-Hernandez, age 32, and Jonny Turcios, age 35, pleaded guilty on Wednesday, Nov. 6, to two counts each of attempted murder in the second degree. Two people were killed in a wrong-way crash on a Long Island highway. It happened on the Meadowbrook State Parkway north of Bay Parkway in Hempstead, at around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6. A Long Island pastor is accused of sexually abusing a man. Thomas Moriarty, age 62, of New Hyde Park, was arrested Thursday, Oct. 31, following an investigation by the Nassau County Police Department’s Special Victims Squad. According to police, Moriarty – who is a pastor at Church of the Holy Spirit in New Hyde Park – sexually abused a 22-year-old man in Oceanside on Saturday, Oct. 26.
