It is now optional to wear a mask when riding mass transit in New York, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced. Hochul said at a news conference that the new masking policies are in effect immediately, as of Wednesday, Sept. 7. 19: Weekly Testing Requirement For Unvaccinated School Staff To Start In NY
Children in New York will be wearing masks - at least at the beginning of the school year - in the classroom until regions get the Delta COVID-19 variant under control, and school staffers who aren't vaccinated will now have to be tested weekly. 19: Those Who Are Fully Vaccinated Can Skip Quarantines, CDC Says
The Centers for Disease Control & Prevent (CDC) has issued new guidance for those who are fully vaccinated for COVID-19. With the federal government ramping up production of the vaccine, the CDC announced that “asymptomatic fully-vaccinated individuals” who receive both doses can skip quarantine, provided the second shot was more than two weeks prior.
