The Suffolk County Police Department said the incident took place at the North Amityville Senior Center sometime between 4:40 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 1, and about noon on Monday, Oct. 4. The scarecrow was found hanging from a pergola in the rear of the property, located at 48 Cedar Road, police reported.
