Suspect Nabbed After Nassau County Burglary Spree, Police Say
A 57-year-old man is facing charges after police say he committed multiple burglaries on Long Island.
Officers responded to a report of a burglary at the Plaza Eatery Deli, located at 28 North Station Plaza in Great Neck Plaza, at about 1:20 a.m. on Sunday, July 31, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Police found a side window had been opened and determined that a man had entered the deli and stolen cigarette and cash, police reported.
Officers then located the man, identified as Jung Su Kim, of Queens, walking through a parking lot on Great Neck Road, police said.

Each year, Niche explores the best places to live in the US, evaluating factors that include crime, public school systems, job opportunities and local amenities.

Covid-19: Long Island Sees Slight Uptick In Cases, Here's Breakdown By Towns
Long Island has seen a slight uptick in positive COVID-19 cases though statewide numbers continue trending in the right direction.
There have now been 44,924 confirmed COVID-19 cases in Nassau, and 45,006 in Suffolk as each county saw less than 100 new cases in the latest numbers provided by the state Department of Health.
There have been 2,198 COVID-19 fatalities in Nassau and 2,005 in Suffolk.
On Long Island, the positive infection rate over the past three days:
Monday, Aug. 31: 1.0 percent;
Tuesday, Sept. 1: 0.8 percent;
Wednesday, Sept. 2: 1.1 percent.

Man Accused Of Offering Drugs, Alcohol To Long Island Minor
A 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to sell drugs and alcohol to a teenage girl on Long Island, police said.
According to police, on Sunday, Nov. 3, Queens resident Tarandeep Oberoi texted a 14-year-old girl offering to sell her alcohol and marijuana, prompting an investigation.
Police said that at approximately 9:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, a Nassau County Police detective contacted Oberoi through text, posing as a minor, asking to meet in front of a Chelsea Place residence in Great Neck Plaza to sell MDMA for an agree upon price.

Employee Accused Of Sexually Assaulting 7-Year-Old Boy At Long Island Market
An employee has been accused of sexually assaulting a young boy at a supermarket on Long Island.
The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1 in the village of Great Neck Plaza, police said.
According to detectives, the 7-year-old boy was shopping with his grandfather at Best Market, located at 40 Great Neck Rd. when he was led to the bottle recycling room by a store employee.
The employee, David Bonom, 34, of Great Neck Plaza, placed his hands in the pants of the victim, touching him inappropriately, police said.
