6 Teens Nabbed For Burglary, Trespass Of Vacant Long Island Building: Police
A group of teenagers have been arrested in connection with multiple criminal incidents at a vacant Long Island building, authorities announced.
According to the Suffolk County Police, six people, all teenagers, were arrested on Thursday, July 13 in connection to a series of May 2023 Oakdale incidents.
The first incident occurred between May 25 and May 29, police said, when a group of males broke into the now-abandoned site of Dowling College, located at 150 Idle Hour Boulevard.
There, the group painted graffiti on the walls.

Man Accused Of Making Graffiti, Including Swastika, In Port Jefferson Station
A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly making graffiti that included such images as a swastika and other hate messages.
Carol Vario, age 51, undomiciled, was arrested by Suffolk County Police on Wednesday, March 9, for the incident which took place on Friday, March 4 in Port Jefferson Station.
The graffiti was found on a building located at 518 Route 112, police said.
Similar graffiti on a kiosk near the Greenway Trail was also found on Saturday, March 5, police said.

Suffolk County Man Charged After Spray-Painting Nine Buildings, Police Say
A Long Island man was arrested after police said he spray-painted "Defund the Police" or "Defund Suffolk PD" on nine buildings.
Thomas Rivas, age 26, of Huntington, was arrested and charged with nine counts of making graffiti, the Suffolk County Police Department announced on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
SCPD said the following buildings were spray-painted between March and April of 2021:

Suffolk Teen Arrested For Spray Painting Large Swastika On Stop Sign, Police Say
A Long Island teen has been charged with aggravated harassment for allegedly spray-painting a large swastika on a stop sign.
Ivan Martinez, age 19, of Islip, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 10, for the incident that took place on Sunday, Jan. 31, in Centre Island, according to the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, the Town of Oyster Bay Constables discovered what appeared to be a large swastika spray-painted on a stop sign. The Bay Constables responded to the Centre Island Police Department and reported the blue marking.

Long Island Man Nabbed For Graffiti On Restaurant, Courthouse, Police Say
A suspect wanted for spraying graffiti on a Long Island restaurant has been nabbed by police.
Nassau County Police arrested Rorenise Toafili, 26, of Farmingdale, for the incident which took place between 7 p.m., Saturday, June 20, and 4:55 a.m., Sunday, June 21, at the restaurant in Wantagh.
According to detectives, while on routine patrol, an officer discovered the graffiti at the Smashburger Restaurant, located at 1223 Wantagh Ave., police said.
During the investigation, it was determined Toafili was also responsible for graffiti on Hempstead Court House located at 99 Main Street.
