Goldman Sachs To Fire Over 1,300 Workers, Report Says New York City-based multinational investment bank and financial services company Goldman Sachs plans to lay off over 1,300 employees, according to a report by The Wall Street Journal. The move is part of an annual review process that culls low performers, the report said, noting the numbers of those getting fired may wind up being as high as 1,800 out of the company's global workforce of around 45,000.
