20-Year-Old Sleeping In Car Assaults Officers On Long Island, Police Say A young Queens man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted the police officers who found him sleeping in a car. It happened on the morning of Monday, April 1 in New Hyde Park, according to Nassau County Police. At approximately 5:40 a.m. that day, 20-year-old Raul Veingolea was reportedly sleeping in a gold Toyota sedan in the lot of an auto body shop at 2044 Jericho Turnpike. The arrest took place in Nassau County on Thursday, Feb. 23 in Valley Stream and West Hempstead.
