It happened on Monday, Nov. 13, according to Glen Cove Police. At approximately 12:15 p.m., police saw a Black 2017 Honda Accord, which had been reported to contain a woman held against her will. When officers attempted to pull over the Accord, the driver instead sped up and attempted to flee the police, leading to a pursuit. Man Found Dead Floating In Water On Long Island, Police Say Police are investigating after a man was found dead floating in the water on Long Island. The incident occurred in Nassau County in the area of the Safe Harbor Marina in Glen Cove around 8:30 a.m., Monday, Feb. 27. According to Nassau County Police detectives, a 911 call was received for a person floating in the water in the Safe Harbor Marina located at 128 Shore Road.  Glen Cove Police, the Nassau County Marine Bureau, Nassau County Emergency Service Unit and the Glen Cove Fire Department all responded to the area. Long Island Crossing Guard Hit By SUV Critically Injured, Police Say A Long Island crossing guard is in critical condition after being hit by an SUV while at work. The incident took place in Glen Cove around 9 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 6 on Dosoris Lane. According to Lt. Woman Arrested After Abused Dog Found Locked On Long Island Property, Police Say A Long Island woman was arrested for animal cruelty after police allegedly found an abused dog locked in a dog house on her property. Nassau County resident Deia Banos, 60, of Glen Cove, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 12, after Glen Cove police responded to her home for a complaint of a barking dog, said Glen Cove Det. Lt.
