New Update - ID Released For 32-Year-Old Killed In Overnight Long Island Crash The identity has been released of a 32-year-old who was killed in an overnight crash on Long Island. It happened just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in Glen Cove. According to Nassau County Police, the victim, a man riding a bicycle, was traveling eastbound, approaching Glen Cove Avenue from a walkway behind a residential building. Police said the bicyclist then entered traffic and struck a 2004 Honda Accord being driven by a 31-year-old man. Glen Cove EMS transported the bicyclist to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:29 p.m. by a hospital physician.  He's no…

Woman Held Hostage, Prompting Pursuit On Long Island: Police An investigation has been launched after reports of a woman being held against her will spurred a high-speed chase on Long Island, police said. It happened on Monday, Nov. 13, according to Glen Cove Police. At approximately 12:15 p.m., police saw a Black 2017 Honda Accord, which had been reported to contain a woman held against her will. When officers attempted to pull over the Accord, the driver instead sped up and attempted to flee the police, leading to a pursuit.
