Ghost gun molds, assault rifles, and body armor were seized during a raid at a Melville home, leading to the arrest of a 41-year-old man, Suffolk County police announced on Saturday, Jan. 25.

Man Admits Threatening Wife's Life, Stockpiling Weapons At Long Island Home
A Long Island man, who reportedly threatened to kill his wife outside of a hospital, also hoarded several ghost guns, ammunition, and more at his home, authorities said.
Thomas Saxton, age 36 of East Rockaway, entered his guilty plea on Wednesday, Jan. 10, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
Nearly two years earlier, on Feb. 17, 2022, Saxton allegedly threatened to kill his wife while she was holding their 2-year-old child in her arms outside of a Cohen Children’s Hospital in Queens. He was holding a handgun at the time and was arrested by the NYPD.

22-Year-Old Long Island Gun Trafficker Known As 'JuJu' Sentenced
A 22-year-old Long Island man who pleaded guilty to trafficking “ghost guns,” ammunition, and more to alleged gang members will now spend years behind bars, officials announced.
On Monday, Sept. 25, Jeramya Sloan, also known as “JuJu,” was sentenced to 46 months in prison for selling weapons across Suffolk County, according to the Eastern District of New York U.S. Attorney's Office.
Sloan, who is from Selden and East Patchogue, admitted to selling the guns from December 2019 through January 2021 to people he thought were Bloods gang members.

Three men face numerous charges after allegedly trafficking ghost guns, assault weapons, and large quantities of cocaine from Massachusetts to New York, officials said.

Suffolk County Man Charged After Search Warrant Uncovers 'Ghost Guns,' Police Say
A 34-year-old Long Island man was charged after police said a search warrant uncovered multiple loaded "ghost guns" in his home.
Samuel Schindler, of Central Islip, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 5, after a search warrant was executed at his home on Tamarack Street, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Police searched the residence and found two loaded handguns, a 9mm and a 40 caliber, authorities said.
The two handguns were what are commonly known as "ghost guns," which are built from a kit and don't have serial numbers or traceable features, SCPD said.
