Deer Rescued From Icy Waters In Suffolk County Using an ice sled and lines, police rescued a deer that had fallen through the ice on a Long Island bay.  The incident began around 4:18 p.m., when a Smith Point Park Ranger reported a deer stuck in the ice at Narrow Bay, off Smith Point County Park, in Shirley, said the Suffolk County Police.
