5 Charged In Suspected Gang-Related Shooting Outside Long Island Nightclub Five men have been arrested months after a suspected gang-related shooting outside of a Long Island nightclub sent one person to the hospital. Nassau County Police were initially called at around 3:45 a.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, with reports of a shooting in the parking lot at the Park West Nightclub in Westbury, located on Merrick Avenue. Multiple rounds were fired hitting one victim twice, once in the shoulder and once in the leg, police said. The victim was driven to a hospital and ultimately survived his injuries. 15-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Central Islip, Police Say A 15-year-old was shot and killed overnight on Long Island. It happened at around 3:45 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives said. Four teens were in the woods outside 142 East Suffolk Ave. when they were approached by two teens, police said. The teens fled, but the 15-year-old was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related. Westbound Suffolk Avenue is closed from Dovecote Lane to Lowell Avenue for the investigation. This is a developing story.
