4 Injured By Sword, Gun-Wielding Burglars On Long Island: Police
One Long Island man has been arrested, with others potentially on the loose, after a break-in that involved a gun, a sword, and more, police said.
It happened on Wednesday, Jan.24 in Hicksville, according to Nassau County Police.
Just before 2 a.m. that morning, a group of men are reported to have broken into a house on Princess Street.
The group, which included 27-year-old Hicksville resident Simranjeet Singh, got into the home through the basement door.
Once inside, they attacked the five men inside, who were all between the ages of 20 and 23, as they slept.

Four people are facing charges after a 20-year-old man was hit with a metal baseball bat and shot with a BB gun at a Long Island park.
Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at Larry's Landing, located on Lake Shore Road in Lake Ronkonkoma, at about 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
Police reported finding that a 20-year-old Lake Grove man had been assaulted by four individuals who were known to him.

Five teens have been arrested in connection with a brutal assault of a 15-year-old Uniondale High School student.
Nassau County Police announced that following an extensive investigation, three 15-year-old males, one 16-year-old male, and one 17-year-old male, all from Uniondale, were arrested between Thursday, Jan. 9, and Sunday, Jan. 12.
