Cecilio Viera-Viera, age 21, of Freeport, met the girl on social media and lured her through conversations and interactions to meet him in person on Friday, June 4, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Body Found After Vehicle Becomes Fully Engulfed In Flames On Long Island A body was found inside a vehicle that burst into flames on Long Island. Police Officers responded to the fire in Freeport at 29 Seaman Ave. on Friday, May 14 at 10:45 a.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered the fully engulfed vehicle in the rear yard, Nassau County Police said.  The Freeport Fire Department responded and was able to extinguish the fire. Duo Charged With Attempted Murder For Incident Off Meadowbrook State Parkway Police are investigating an assault with an axe that occurred in a wooded area off the Meadowbrook State Parkway. It happened in the area of Sunrise Highway, at approximately 10:40 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 28 in Freeport, according to state police. Two people, Oscar Romero-Hernandez, age 37, and Jose Otero, age 38, both of Freeport, were in a physical altercation where the victim was struck in the head with an axe, state police said.
