Serial Siphoner: Man Steals Cooking Oil Dozens Of Times Across Long Island, Police Say
A Queens man has been arrested after police said he stole cooking oil from multiple businesses on Long Island.
Rabindra Singh, age 47, was nabbed in connection to a series of cooking oil thefts, the Nassau County Police announced on Monday, May 6.
His arrest comes after Singh, who is from Queens, allegedly was caught at Frantoni’s Pizzeria, located at 1928 Hempstead Turnpike, East Meadow, using a power pump and blue hose to siphon cooking oil into his 2012 Ford Econoline van.
Singh was arrested at the scene with no incidents.

ID Released For 26-Year-Old Killed In Hauppauge Crash That Left Four Others Injured
Police have released the identity of a Long Island man killed in a crash that also injured four others.
Brendan Haverty, age 26, of Riverhead was killed around 1:30 a.m., Monday, June 6, in the two-vehicle crash in Hauppauge, said the Suffolk County Police.
Daneris Garcia Marquez was driving a 2011 Ford Econoline westbound on Route 347 when her vehicle collided with a 2019 Toyota Camry traveling northbound on Brooksite Drive, driven by Abhishek Mukherjee, police said.

Woman Killed After Vehicle Fire Breaks Out On Long Island
A woman was killed and a man injured after a vehicle fire broke out overnight on Long Island.
The vehicle, a 2002 Ford Econoline van, was fully engulfed, in Coram on County Road 83, just north of Pine Road, when emergency responders arrived at 6:15 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18.
The victim, a passenger, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner. Her name is being withheld pending positive identification.
