Federal lawmakers moved to officially outlaw transgender girls and women from competing in school sports. New Update: Missing 8-Year-Old From NY Found In Florida
This story has been updated. An 8-year-old girl who was reported missing after visiting her mother at a New York hotel has been found. Long Island resident Toni Simmons, of Brookhaven, had last been seen on Saturday, April 1, in Medford, at the Comfort Inn located on Route 112, according to Suffolk County Police. On Monday afternoon, police said Simmons had been found in Florida with her mother and was unharmed. Eye Drops Tainted With Bacteria Linked To Deaths, Infections, CDC Says
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is warning about eye drops tainted with bacteria that are now being linked to three deaths and dozens of infections. In addition, eight people have reported vision loss and there have been four reports of eyes being removed after the drops were used. A total of 68 people in 16 states have been identified as having infections of a rare strain of drug-resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa never before reported in the United States before this outbreak, according to the CDC. Seen Him? Thief Nabs Over $1K Worth Of Perfume From Ulta Beauty On Long Island
Police are asking for help in identifying a man seen on surveillance video stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise from an Ulta Beauty store on Long Island. The theft occurred on Monday, Feb. 13, at the Ulta Beauty in Commack, located on Veterans Memorial Highway, according to Suffolk County Police. Detectives said the man stole approximately $1,100 worth of fragrances before fleeing in a silver sedan with Florida license plates.
