Toddler Pulled Unresponsive From Swimming Pool In Deer Park A toddler was found unresponsive in a swimming pool at a Long Island home. The incident happened around 7:15 p.m. Sunday, July 7, in Deer Park. The child, a 2-year-old boy, was pulled from the pool, and first responders began CPR upon arriving on the scene. The boy was transported by ambulance to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip and later moved to Stony Brook University Hospital in stable condition. Suspect At Large After Man Critically Injured In Long Island Stabbing Detectives are investigating a stabbing that critically injured a man on Long Island. The incident took place around 2:50 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 19, when the victim was found with stab wounds in East Farmingdale, on Smith Street, east of Route 110, said the Suffolk County Police. Long Island Woman Struck, Killed By Car A woman was killed after being struck by a car while she was crossing a Long Island intersection.  It happened on Friday, Jan. 17 at 5:50 p.m. in West Babylon. Paula James, 60, was crossing Little East Neck Road just north of 12th Street when she was struck by a 2006 Kia traveling northbound on Little East Neck Road, Suffolk County Police said. James, of West Babylon, was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, where she was pronounced dead, according to police.
