'Blight On Community' Long Island Motel That Housed Alleged Sex, Drug Trafficking Ring Sold
Nearly a year after the owner and several employees of a Long Island motel were charged in an alleged sex and drug trafficking operation, the property has a new owner. The Sayville Motor Lodge, located in Sayville on Sunrise Highway, was sold to another company, the US Attorney’s Office in the Eastern District announced Tuesday, Oct. 3. A Long Island chiropractor will spend time in federal prison after fraudulently obtaining nearly $1 million in insurance payouts for services that were never provided. Peter Adamczack, age 66, of Huntington, was sentenced to one year and a day behind bars in federal court in Central Islip on Monday, July 31. NY Chiropractor Admits To $1 Million Health Care Fraud
A New York chiropractor has admitted to fraudulently obtaining nearly $1 million in insurance payouts for services that were never provided. Long Island resident Peter Adamczack, age 65, of Huntington, pleaded guilty to health care fraud Monday, Aug. 15, in federal court in Central Islip. Prosecutors said Adamczack, a licensed chiropractor in East Meadow, submitted over $1 million in fraudulent acupuncture claims to a private insurance company between 2016 and 2020. A Long Island man is facing charges for allegedly smuggling Vietnamese nationals into the country to work on the cheap at nail salons he and a co-conspirator operated in New York. Hicksville resident Manh Ngoc Nguyen and Bronx resident Dat Tat Ho were charged in federal court in Central Islip for allegedly conspiring to defraud the government and smuggling illegal aliens into the country.
