One person was killed in an overnight crash near a Long Island intersection. It happened around 12:05 a.m. Saturday, July 6, in Ronkonkoma. According to Suffolk County Police, the victim was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Tahoe on Express Drive North when the vehicle veered off the road at the corner of Breeze Avenue. A husband and wife were killed in an overnight crash at a busy Long Island intersection. It happened just before 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 29 in Ronkonkoma. The two Central Islip residents were walking across Ocean Avenue from east to west between Express Drive North and Michigan Street when they were struck by a southbound 2007 Hyundai Elantra, Suffolk County Police said. A 31-year-old woman was arrested after allegedly being involved in a hit-and-run crash on Long Island that left two boys hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.
