Two men who admitted to luring, robbing, and killing a Long Island man who had just received a large sum of money will each spend at least two decades behind bars, authorities announced.
Freeport men Eric Baldwin and Corey Grier were each handed sentences of 20 years or more in prison, the Nassau County District Attorney announced on Monday, Nov. 13.

Two men pleaded guilty to their roles in robbing, shooting, and killing a Long Island man who had just received a significant amount of money, officials announced.
On Thursday, Sept. 7, the Nassau County District Attorney announced that Eric Baldwin, age 27, and Corey Grier, age 29, pleaded guilty to charges including murder and robbery, respectively, for their roles in a September 2021 incident.
The DA’s Office said that on Sept. 10, 2021, victim James Diamond, age 28, and a friend drove to a Long Beach law firm to pick up a check that Diamond was awarded as part of a lawsuit.

The four were indicted in connection with the shooting death of James Diamond, age 28, of Long Beach, who was killed around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10 in Freeport, said the Freeport Police.

One Killed In Two-Vehicle Crash At Long Island Intersection
One person was killed in a two-vehicle crash at a Long Island intersection.
It happened on Wednesday, April 21 at approximately 10:55 a.m. in Mastic Beach
Daniel Reardon, age 22, of Yaphank, was riding a 1997 Harley-Davidson westbound on Neighborhood Road when his motorcycle crossed over the center divider line and struck an eastbound 2000 Jeep at the intersection of Commack Road, Suffolk County Police said.
Reardon was pronounced dead at the scene, said police.
