Fire Forces Temporary Closure Of Popular Long Island Restaurant
An electrical fire tore through a popular Long Island restaurant, forcing it to shutter its doors temporarily as it makes repairs.
The flames tore through Churrasqueira Bairrada in Mineola, sending smoke and flames billowing into the air on Saturday, Dec. 21, officials said. It took fire crews from seven towns to control the blaze at the Jericho Turnpike restaurant, which has been a Nassau County staple for nearly three decades.
