Long Island Expressway Fatal: Victim ID'd In Calverton One driver was killed and another was injured in a two-vehicle crash on an exit ramp from the Long Island Expressway. The deadly wreck happened at around 7 a.m. Friday, May 31, in Calverton, on the eastbound I-495 exit 71 ramp to Edwards Avenue. Suffolk County Police said a Hyundai sedan was attempting to make a left turn onto northbound Edwards Avenue when it was struck by a Chevrolet pickup truck heading southbound.
