Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Shooting Outside Long Island Bar
Police arrested a suspect in a fatal shooting that happened outside a Long Island bar.
The incident took place around 1 a.m., Monday, Aug. 2, when German Ramirez and Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado became involved in an argument on the property of Mi Nuevo Encanto, located at 65 Carleton Ave., in Central Islip, Suffolk County Police said.
During the argument, Rodriguez-Rosado, of East Islip, fired multiple shots, striking Ramirez, police said.
The two were known to one another prior to the altercation.

A Long Island man was killed after he vehicle crossed several lanes of traffic before crashing into a divider and overturning, police said.
The crash happened just before 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug, 1 in Islip, Suffolk County Police said.
Jay Miller, 75, of East Islip, was driving a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27), west of exit 44, when his vehicle went from the right lane across all three lanes of traffic and collided with the divider, causing the vehicle to overturn, Suffolk County Police said.

Five people were injured, one seriously, in a two-vehicle crash near an intersection on Long Island.
It happened at about 6:15 p.m. Sunday, June 28 in Brightwaters.
Anthony Nunns, 21, of West Babylon, was driving a 2006 Hyundai sedan westbound on Montauk Highway, near South Bay Avenue, when the vehicle veered into oncoming traffic and struck an eastbound 2015 Dodge Ram, Suffolk County Police said.

Teen Nabbed For Long Island 7-Eleven Robbery
A teen has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Long Island 7-Eleven store while brandishing a knife.
Maxwell Purdy, 19, of East Islip, was arrested around 2:20 a.m., Friday, March 20, following the robbery at the 7-Eleven store on East Main Street in East Islip, said the Suffolk County Police.
According to detectives, Purdy allegedly entered the store, displayed a knife and demanded cash. He stole cash and cigarettes and fled the area.
Third Precinct police officers responded Officer Christopher Calderone located Purdy nearby and arrested him, police said.
