Iconic Actor James Earl Jones Dies At 93 In New York Home
James Earl Jones, the beloved actor and voice behind one of cinema's most memorable villains, died Monday, Sept. 9, at his home in Dutchess County, Variety reported.
The "Field of Dreams" star was 93. No cause of death was given.
Jones, a Pawling resident, is considered one of the greatest actors of his generation. From the Broadway stage, the silver screen, and a galaxy far, far away, the Mississippi-born actor had a range that few others could replicate.

Severe Storm Knocks Out Power To Thousands In Westchester
Tens of thousands are without power after a severe storm swept through the Northeast overnight.
At around 7 a.m. Thursday, June 27, a total of around 35,000 customers in New York are without electricity, according to poweroutage.us.
Most of the outages are in areas farther north with a combined 27,110 outages in Orange, Dutchess, and Ulster counties.

A Hudson Valley and Long Island man were both arrested on identity theft charges after being caught with a victim's personal information and a forged driver's license at a Northern Westchester bank, police said.

During an Instagram Live session on Tuesday, Sept.19, actress Angelica Ross, who is a transgender woman, accused Roberts of making transphobic comments in 2018, during filming of the show’s ninth season, “1984.”

A 36-year-old man has been sentenced for killing a Long Island man while at a Hudson Valley hotel.
During the unprovoked shooting Suffolk County Paul Kutz, age 52, of East Northport, was killed at the Courtyard by Marriott in the town of Poughkeepsie on Sunday, Oct. 2, while visiting his youngest son at Marist College.
