A suspect was apprehended after an attempted robbery at a Long Island bank.
The incident happened Wednesday, July 6 in Wantagh.
The suspect, Anthony J. Trentacosta, age 30, of Seaford, entered the Bank of America located at 3330 Park Avenue, approached a female teller and produced a demand note for US currency, Nassau County Police said.
The teller did not comply and Trentacosta fled the bank through the rear doors without any proceeds, police said.

A Long Island man was arrested for allegedly punching a police officer in the head during a domestic incident.
Thomas Hilton, age 54, of Greenport, was arrested around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, March 30, in Greenport, said the Southold Police Department.
According to police, Southold Police received a 911 call from a woman requesting assistance with her boyfriend.
When police arrived, they were talking with the woman when she became uncooperative with the officers and refused to allow them to speak with Hilton, police said.

Suffolk County Legislator-elect Nicholas Caracappa is facing charges for an alleged domestic incident, according to officials.
This week, Suffolk County Police arrested Caracappa, 53, at his Selden home, charging him for criminal contempt and criminal obstruction of breathing in connection to a domestic incident.

A Long Island woman who intended to run over her boyfriend has been accused of falsely reporting a domestic incident in order to place blame on him when the car crashed, according to police.
Berline Francois-Torres, 28, of Ronkonkoma, was driving a 2010 Nissan eastbound on Fulton Street in West Babylon, with her children, ages 5 and 9, in the vehicle, when the vehicle left the roadway and crashed through a fence and into a house, located at 30 Fulton Street, on Tuesday, Nov. 24 at 7:20 p.m., Suffolk County Police said.
