Four Arrested, Two Police Officers Injured During Large Gathering At Long Island Park Two police officers were assaulted and hospitalized overnight attempting to break up a large gathering at a Long Island park. Suffolk County Police officers responded to Ross Memorial Park in Brentwood at approximately 9 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, where there were reports of a large group in the area. Upon arrival, officers said that they found approximately 30 people at the park, with many in the street blocking traffic.
