Bay Shore resident Anahi Gomez, 18, was arrested by Suffolk County Police following an investigation into a string of robberies between Friday, Dec. 27 and Friday, Jan. 3 at five different businesses between Huntington Station and Lake Ronkonkoma. The two young brown pelicans currently are safely tucked in at the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Center in Hampton Bays, but both are a little worse for the wear after getting too cold when they were hanging out in Montauk near the fishing docks.
