23-Year-Old From Smithtown Airlifted After Chain-Reaction Dix Hills Crash
One person suffered severe injuries in a chain reaction Long Island crash.It happened around 2:15 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 5, in Dix Hills. A 23-year-old Smithtown man was driving a 2006 Toyota Prius southbound on Deer Park Road at Deforest Road when the vehicle struck a northbound 2025 Kenworth semi-truck, according to Suffolk County Police. Man Struck, Seriously Injured By Car At Dix Hills Intersection
A man was hospitalized with serious injuries after he was struck by a car at a Long Island intersection. The crash happened in Dix Hills at the intersection of Deer Park Road and Old Country Road at about 9:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 5, the Suffolk County Police Department said. SCPD said a 54-year-old West Hempstead man was driving a 2004 Pontiac sedan south on Deer Park Road and struck the man in the roadway. A man is facing charges after police say he drove while intoxicated with two kids in the car on a Long Island roadway. A 911 caller reported a man driving a 2010 Hyundai Sonata recklessly in Dix Hills when a patrol officer initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Deer Park Road and Alyssum Avenue at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, July 16, Suffolk County Police said. Three people were hospitalized when an allegedly intoxicated man was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Long Island, police said. Selden resident Thomas Macy was driving a 2019 Ford van southbound on Deer Park Road near the intersection of East Deer Park Road in Dix Hills shortly after 10 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 30, when he rear-ended an SUV, Suffolk County Police said.
