35-Year-Old Critically Injured In 2-Vehicle Bethpage Crash One person suffered critical injuries in an overnight crash on Long Island. It happened on Wednesday, June 26, in Bethpage. According to Nassau County Police, a 35-year-old man was operating a 2018 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on South Broadway when he was in a collision with a 2017 Cadillac SUV being operated by a 28-year-old female traveling northbound, turning left into a parking lot.  Both operators were transported to a local area hospital for evaluation and treatment. Pedestrian Suffers Severe Head Trauma After Being Struck By Car On Long Island A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a car on Long Island. The incident occurred around 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9 in Merrick, Nassau County Police said. According to police, a 2012 Mazda operated by a 43-year-old woman struck a 66-year-old male pedestrian in the vicinity of 2129 Merrick Road as he stepped into the right westbound traffic lane.  The male victim suffered severe head trauma and was transported in a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a local nearby hospital for treatment. The victim is listed in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
