16-Year-Old Caught With Fully-Loaded Gun, Driving Unlawfully On Long Island, Police Say
A Long Island teen was arrested for possessing a fully-loaded firearm, as well as multiple traffic violations.
The Williston Park teenager, age 16, was pulled over shortly before 2 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28, for numerous traffic infractions while driving west on Hillside Avenue near Willis Avenue, Nassau County Police said.
When prompted to exit the vehicle, officers reportedly noticed a bulge in the teen's jacket pocket, which led to further investigation. Officers recovered a fully-loaded, defaced, 9-millimeter firearm.

Pistol Loaded With 21 Rounds Found During Traffic Stop On Long Island, Police Say
A traffic stop on Long Island turned up a pistol loaded with nearly two dozen rounds of ammunition, authorities said.
Nassau County Police stopped Derrick Seidler, age 34, of Greensboro, North Carolina, at around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, as he drove through Westbury. Officers allege that he changed lanes without signaling on Corporate Drive.
During their conversation, Seidler began acting suspiciously, according to police, and officers ordered him and a 38-year-old female passenger out of the vehicle. Inside, they allegedly found a 9mm pistol loaded with 21 rounds of ammunition.

CA Man Brandished Gun During Disturbance At Long Island Motel, Police Say
An out-of-state man is facing charges after allegedly brandishing a gun during a disturbance at a Long Island motel.
Nassau County Police were called to East Meadow’s Coliseum Motor Inn, located on Hempstead Parkway, just before 9 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, after getting reports that a man had displayed a firearm in the hallway.
When officers arrived, they determined that Miguel Lara, age 31, of California, was the man who had prompted the call.
During a subsequent investigation, officers found a loaded Sig-Sauer pistol inside Lara’s motel room, police said.

Traffic Stop On Long Island Leads To Gun Arrest, Police Say
Police have arrested a man from the region for alleged possession of a loaded gun during a routine traffic stop on Long Island.
The incident took place in Inwood around 9:40 p.m., Monday, June 6.
According to detectives, officers spotted a black 2010 Nissan Maxima traveling eastbound on Bayview Avenue with dark tinted windows, said the Nassau County Police.
Following an investigation, a loaded firearm was recovered from inside the vehicle, police said.

Suffolk County Man Charged After Search Warrant Uncovers 'Ghost Guns,' Police Say
A 34-year-old Long Island man was charged after police said a search warrant uncovered multiple loaded "ghost guns" in his home.
Samuel Schindler, of Central Islip, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 5, after a search warrant was executed at his home on Tamarack Street, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.
Police searched the residence and found two loaded handguns, a 9mm and a 40 caliber, authorities said.
The two handguns were what are commonly known as "ghost guns," which are built from a kit and don't have serial numbers or traceable features, SCPD said.

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly dealing fentanyl throughout the area.
Following a four-month-long investigation, detectives from Suffolk County arrested Leury Rodriguez, aka "Primo," age 27, of Brentwood, after he conducted a drug deal in Islandia on Monday, Feb. 7, and was found in possession of more than a quarter kilo of fentanyl, said the Suffolk County Police.

Daniel Apolinario, age 24, of Bay Shore, entered the Riverhead Correctional Facility parking lot through the employee entrance at about 10:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 21, and he tried to exit jail grounds the wrong way through the visiting entrance, the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office said.

Three Long Island men have been charged with the armed robbery of a BP gas station where they allegedly made off with cash and lottery tickets.
The incident took place on Friday, Dec. 31 around 11 p.m. at the gas station in East Meadow, said Nassau County Police.

Police apprehended a Long Island man wanted for an alleged attempted robbery as he was boarding a plane to leave the country.
According to Nassau County detectives, Bernardo Dezil, age 22, of Freeport, entered Clientele, located at 630 Old Country Road in East Garden City, on Tuesday, Dec. 7, and began selecting clothing items.
