Three women face charges, two for prostitution, after a raid at a Long Island foot spa.
In response to community complaints, Suffolk County Police Second Precinct Crime Section officers led an investigation at Cleopatra Foot Spa in Huntington Station, located at 1783 New York Ave., at approximately 3 p.m. Monday, March 11.
The manager, Xiu Rong Lin, age 61, of Flushing, Queens, was charged with criminal nuisance, a misdemeanor.

A man could spend the rest of his life behind bars for his back-to-back burglaries on Long Island.
Kevin Carroll, age 41, of Manhattan, was sentenced on Wednesday, Feb. 21 for his 2020 Uniondale burglaries, the Nassau County District Attorney announced.
On the evening of June 22, 2020, Carroll forced open the back door of 429 Fenimore Avenue, a Uniondale boarding house that has both shared and single-occupancy rooms.

Man Admits To Deadly Machete Attack On Long Island
A Long Island man who attacked another with a machete at a laundromat has admitted to his role in the victim’s death, officials said.
Roberto Velasquez, age 32, pleaded guilty to his manslaughter charge on Wednesday, Jan. 31, according to the Nassau County District Attorney.
The incident originally occurred on March 15, 2023, in Valley Stream.
Velasquez, who is homeless, was with several other people at the 24-hour Laundry Palace, located on Merrick Road, at approximately 2:10 a.m. that day.

A man allegedly opened fire inside a Long Island business before engaging in a three-hour standoff with police.
Emergency crews in Riverhead were called at around 3:50 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, for a man shooting a gun inside the Cross Island Concrete Corporation, located on Kroemer Avenue.
Multiple agencies, including the Riverhead, Suffolk County, and Southold police departments responded and cordoned off the area surrounding the business.
