A man who was causing a disturbance in a quiet Long Island neighborhood became violent and combative after officers arrived on the scene, injuring one cop.
The incident happened just before 2 a.m. Saturday, Nov, 2, in Farmingdale.
Officers responded to reports of a disturbance near the intersection of Conklin Street and Main Street.
Upon arrival, they found 36-year-old Bryan Flores, a resident of the area, screaming and cursing in the roadway, which caused others to feel unsafe, according to Nassau County Police.

Long Island Man Arrested After Attacking Store Attendant During Robbery Attempt, Police Say
A 39-year-old Long Island man who allegedly attempted to rob a convenience store and beat the attendant has been arrested.
Nassau County Police said the incident took place around 7:50 a.m., Thursday, June 4, at the US Gas store in Farmingdale.
According to detectives, Carlos Alfaro, 39, of West Babylon, entered the US Gas store at 545 Conklin St., and approached a male cashier.
Alfaro then allegedly went behind the counter kicking merchandise and began punching the victim in his chest, police said.

A hit-and-run driver who allegedly ran over several people, including a Nassau County police officer outside of a hookah club in Farmingdale, has been nabbed by police.
Officers from the department's Second Squad reported the arrest of Eric Dori, 19, of Huntington, on Friday, April 26, the Nassau County Police Department said.
Dori was charged with two counts of assault, leaving the scene of an incident with serious injuries and leaving the scene of an incident with property damage.

Numerous people were injured, including a Nassau County police officer, after a disturbance and slashing outside a popular hookah bar.
The incident began around 2:45 a.m., Saturday, April 20, when police were called to a disturbance at the Mystique Gardens Hookah Lounge, 365 Conklin St., said Det. Lt. Richard LeBrun, Nassau County Police spokesman.
