First Look: NY's Lindsay Lohan To Star In 'Irish Wish' On Netflix
Netflix has released the first image from its new romcom “Irish Wish,” starring actress, native New Yorker, and new mom Lindsay Lohan.
Posted on the platform X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday, Feb. 1, the streaming service shared an image of Lohan, the star of the film, sitting on the floor of what looks like a ruined wedding ceremony.
The film will follow Lohan, who plays Maddie, who travels to Ireland to be a bridesmaid for her best friend.
One little catch? Her friend is engaged to the love of Maddie’s life.

Lloyd Harbor Teen Seriously Injured In Huntington Crash Involving Intoxicated Driver: Police
A Long Island teen was charged with driving while intoxicated after an 18-year-old passenger was seriously injured when a luxury SUV crashed into trees and a pole overnight, according to authorities.
The crash happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17 in Huntington.
The teen, Maxwell Hawkinson, age 18, of Cold Spring Harbor, was driving a 2021 Jaguar F-Pace northbound on West Neck Road, south of Clearview Street, when the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane, struck a tree, a utility pole, and a second tree, Suffolk County Police said.

8 Mosquito Samples Test Positive For West Nile Virus On Long Island
More mosquitoes carrying West Nile virus have been found on Long Island, health officials announced.
Eight mosquito samples tested positive for the virus following testing done at locations around Suffolk County, according to County Health Commissioner Dr. Gregson Pigott.
The samples were collected on Tuesday, Aug. 9, and Wednesday, Aug. 10, from Copiague, Cold Spring Harbor, Setauket, Aquebogue, Bay Shore, and Nesconset.
So far this year, 59 samples have tested positive for the virus, health officials said.

14 New Mosquito Samples Test Positive For West Nile Virus In Suffolk County
More mosquito samples have tested positive for West Nile Virus on Long Island.
Health officials reported that 14 more mosquito samples taken in Suffolk County tested positive for the virus, bringing the total to 37 mosquito samples and six birds that have tested positive for West Nile this summer.
The samples were collected on Thursday, Aug. 6 in Northport (four), Bay Shore (3), Brentwood, Bohemia, Cold Spring Harbor, Copiague, Farmingville, Northport, and West Islip.
There have been no cases of West Nile virus in any patients on Long Island so far this year.

Actress Lindsay Lohan's mother was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated and fleeing the scene of a crash following an overnight incident on Long Island, according to multiple reports.
Dina Lohan, 57, reportedly tried to flee the scene of the crash outside of an Outback Steakhouse in Merrick.on Saturday night, Jan. 11 before being chased down by the victim of the crash, according to ABC 7, which reported she cursed at officers during the arrest.

Ann Moore Swanton died Thursday, May 23. She was 83.
Swanton was a lifelong, passionate artist with impeccable style and taste. A big believer in “Five-minute vacations” she encouraged everyone to stop and see the everyday beauty that surrounds us.
She loved her children, her pets, sailing, her Cold Spring Harbor home and working in her garden.
Swanton leaves behind two brothers, four children, five grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew, and many relatives and close friends.…
