34-Year-Old Dies In Single-Car Crash On Long Island Highway A 34-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash on a Long Island highway. The crash happened at around 10:20 a.m. Monday, April 10, in Sayville, on Montauk Highway near Broadway, according to Suffolk County Police. Investigators said Ike Nelson, of Oakdale, was driving a Honda CRV eastbound on Montauk Highway, just east of Broadway, when he crossed into the oncoming lane before striking a tree.
