One person is over $10,000 richer after a winning ticket was sold at a Long Island convenience store, according to lottery officials.

On Thursday, Sept. 7, the New York Lottery announced that a local gas station sold one prize-winning Take 5 Midday ticket in Valley Stream.
The ticket, worth $18,474.50, was sold at the BP gas station, located at 1200 Rockaway Avenue. Its winning numbers were drawn in the Wednesday, Sept. 6 Take 5 Midday drawing.
Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one to 39. Drawings are televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.

Three Busted During Underage Alcohol Sting Operation On Long Island, Police Say
Three people have been charged with selling alcohol to minors during an investigation into stores on Long Island.
The sting effort, conducted by Riverhead Police and the Riverhead Community Awareness Program took place on Thursday, June 16, in an effort to reduce the sale of alcohol to underage children, the police department said.

Three suspects are facing charges for their roles in a string of armed robberies at Long Island businesses over the course of more than a week, police said.
Suffolk County Police investigators announced the arrest of three people in connection to multiple armed robberies and an attempted robbery that took place in the department’s Third, Fifth, and Seventh Precincts.
The alleged robberies and attempted robbery happened between Wednesday, Sept. 22, and Thursday, Sept. 30.

Two Wanted In Long Island Stolen Car Ring Nabbed Following Chase, Crash
Two men wanted in connection with a stolen car ring operating on Long Island were nabbed following a chase and a crash that injured a police officer.
Rafael Ramirez, 35, of Manhattan, and Matthew Garcia, 21, of Queens, were arrested by the Nassau County Police around 11:53 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, in Corona, Queens for multiple grand larcenies that allegedly occurred in Nassau County, said the Nassau County Police.
